Default Teeth floating

ok how often do you need to get your horse's teeth floated? I was under the impression that teeth are to be done once per year. Now I am told it's every six months? Is that really necessary?

You should be fine with once a year, but have the vet check it twice a year just incase. There are so many behaviorial issues caused by teeth so it's not worth taking the risk- especially if your guys is older. The older they get the more they need their teeth done.

Thanks that makes sense. My guy is "middle" aged so I guess I better stay on top of things. Ahh so many expenses!

Yes I agree. For most horses once a year should be adequate.
