Default New Horse

Got an amazing deal on a registered 2010 Red Roan Quarter Horse colt with wonderful bloodlines. His topline of his pedigree is mostly cutting champions or sires of champions. We have given him the nickname "Boon". I'm very happy with this boy. He is a project horse to resell in a year or two (that's as long as I don't let myself get too attached to him ).

So meet Boon

Just to share some of the horses in his pedigree in case any of you are interested:

All I can say is WOW! Conformation, breeding & colour you got the whole package! Look at the hind end on him! Are you going to train him as a cutter?

He's super flashy marchadors. I looked at his pedigree and based on that alone he should be pretty incredible. Love the color on him. I wish warmbloods came in more cool colors! I am sure you will have an amazing 2 years with him

Thank you both

He is no doubt bred for cutting but I don't know if we will go that far with him. We will probably have his basic training done when he is ready and then put him up for sale. We will see when the time comes if we will take his training beyond that.

I am sure you will have a wonderful time starting him and putting on the basics. He is a high quality project for sure.

I haltered him the other day waiting for the blow up. I was not looking forward to halter breaking a yearling. Well....the deal on him keeps getting better and better....he is already halter broke! That made my day!

Hey Bonus!

Isn't it nice when you find something positive that someone has already put on a horse when you get them? Usually it's "well I am going to have to un-do this or un-train that habit..." lol It feels good to come out ahead of the game sometimes!
