Re-setting shoes?

I have a question about re-setting shoes. How often can you re-set the same pair of shoes? I know my farrier does it sometimes, and that's fine but are they the same quality as using a brand new set?

You know, I am not sure the answer to this question. I would say they can be reset once or twice but after that I would want brand new ones. After all that wear and tear I don't see how they can be the same quality but then again they do melt it down and re shape/reform them so I am not sure!

It's a good question I will ask my farrier.

ok my farrier says they can be re-set a number of times so hey who knew? I guess once it's melted down and re-formed it's as good as new.
